Explore SolutionHow we broke monopolies and redefined industrial solidification standards.
Steel belt pastillator technology originated in Europe during the 1980s and entered the Chinese market in the late 1990s. Initially, due to its high cost, only a handful of large enterprises purchased and utilised it. To break the monopoly of foreign equipment, we commenced independent research and development of steel belt condensation pastillator as early as 2000.
Steel belt pastillator are primarily applied across multiple sectors including petrochemicals, daily chemical products, fine chemicals, and agricultural fertilizers.
Over two decades, we have served hundreds of clients ranging from multinational corporations to small start-ups, offering multifaceted advice based on extensive experience. Through user engagement, we have continuously refined designs, rapidly iterated products, and developed numerous peripheral auxiliary devices.
Optimizing heat transfer, mechanical stability, and material properties for continuous processing.
In the continuous bitumen and asphalt pelletization process, the cooling conveyor is the critical link that translates a highly viscous, molten fluid at temperatures exceeding 180°C into solid, stable, and non-sticky pellets suitable for bulk transportation. Modern cooling conveyor design relies on precise thermal dynamics, material science, and mechanical engineering to achieve optimal processing speed and product quality.
The core of this system is the high-tension steel belt. Unlike traditional rubber or modular plastic belts, a steel belt offers exceptional thermal conductivity, allowing heat from the molten asphalt to pass instantly through the belt thickness to the cooling medium below. The cooling medium, typically chilled water, is sprayed against the underside of the steel belt via strategically positioned nozzles. This indirect cooling method prevents any contact between the water and the product, eliminating contamination risks and ensuring dry, moisture-free asphalt pellets at the discharge terminal.
Advanced numerical simulations of heat dissipation paths guide the steel belt thickness selection to minimize cooling time and energy consumption.
Integrated pneumatic and hydraulic tracking control devices correct belt drift automatically, preventing edge wear and structural fatigue.
Multi-zone temperature regulation allows operators to establish precise cooling profiles suited to variable polymer-modified asphalts.
Analyzing the shift from liquid bulk logistics to cold solid handling in the global asphalt market.
Traditionally, bitumen has been transported in liquid form using insulated tankers or heated vessels. This method poses significant logistical challenges, high energy overheads, and a substantial carbon footprint, as the bitumen must be kept hot (often above 140°C) throughout its journey. Furthermore, repeated heating cycles degrade the physical properties of the bitumen through oxidation, reducing its performance in final road pavement applications.
As a result, the global industry is transitioning toward solidified bitumen pelletization. By converting molten bitumen into solid pellets at the production facility, suppliers can package, ship, and store the material at ambient temperatures. This eliminate the need for continuous heating, reduces transportation costs by allowing standard container shipping, and significantly lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Once at the destination, the pellets can be remelted locally or added directly to asphalt mixing plants.
Modern cooling conveyors designed specifically for bitumen must cope with the material's high stickiness and thermal inertia. Conventional cooling systems fail because asphalt adheres strongly to metallic surfaces when cooling down. Our state-of-the-art designs implement specific non-stick releasing agents, precise temperature control zones, and optimized scraper mechanisms to guarantee clean discharge without breaking the pellets or damaging the steel belt surface.
