Phenolic Resin Steel Belt Pastillator

The hot melt adhesive steel belt pastillator is an advanced granulation system designed to convert molten adhesive into uniform, free-flowing solid pastilles. It ensures precise temperature control and consistent droplet formation, delivering high-quality output suitable for storage, transport, and downstream processing.

    Long Description

The steel belt pastillator operates by feeding molten hot melt adhesive onto a continuously moving, temperature-controlled steel belt. Through a calibrated drop forming system, the liquid adhesive is deposited in evenly spaced droplets, which are rapidly cooled and solidified as they travel along the belt. The result is uniform pastilles that are easy to handle, package, and re-melt when needed.

Hot melt adhesives present specific challenges in granulation: they are highly tacky, prone to stringing, and sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Excessive heat can degrade polymers or additives, while insufficient cooling causes sticking to the belt or incomplete solidification. The steel belt pastillator addresses these issues with precise temperature control along multiple cooling zones and a self-cleaning belt surface, ensuring consistent pastille release without adhesion.

With a production capacity ranging from 100 to 1600 kg/h, this system is suitable for both medium and large-scale manufacturing environments. Its flexibility allows it to process a wide range of adhesive formulations, maintaining product consistency while optimizing operational efficiency. In addition, the enclosed design minimizes contamination risks, improves workplace cleanliness, and supports stable continuous production with reduced maintenance requirements and enhanced energy efficiency for modern adhesive processing facilities.

Key advantages compared with underwater granulation

    ● No water contact, eliminating moisture absorption and ensuring product purity

    ● No need for drying systems, reducing energy consumption and operating costs

    ● More uniform and visually consistent pastilles compared to irregular granules

    ● Lower thermal stress, preserving adhesive performance and properties

    ● Reduced equipment complexity and easier maintenance

    ● Cleaner process with no wastewater generation or treatment required

    ● Better suitability for high-viscosity and sensitive hot melt adhesive formulations
